Measured Energy Savings and Demand Reduction from a Reflective Roof Membrane on a Large Retail Store in Austin
This 2001 study by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Heat Island Group measured and calculated the significant reduction in peak energy demand associated with a reflective roofing membrane (i.e. white vinyl roof surface) versus a black EPDM roof.
